Price of small 5 kg cylinder increased by Rs 51

Effective April 1, 2026, the price of 5-kg FTL cylinders has increased by ₹51. Commercial cylinder prices have also increased in major cities other than the national capital, Delhi. However, domestic LPG prices have remained unchanged.

The price of 5-kg FTL cylinders has increased effective April 1, 2026. The price of these cylinders has increased by ₹51. The price of 5-kg FTL cylinders has increased effective April 1, 2026. 

The price of these cylinders has increased by ₹51. However, there was no increase in the price of domestic gas cylinders on Wednesday. However, the prices of FTL and commercial cylinders have increased.

While the price of FTL has increased by Rs 51 today, the price of 19 kg commercial LPG gas cylinder has also become expensive from today. According to sources, the price of 19 kg cylinder has been increased by Rs 195.50 in Delhi and Rs 218 in Kolkata, which is effective from today i.e. 

April 1. If we look at this year, this is the 5th time the increase has been seen in the country. If we look at the data, the price of commercial gas cylinder has increased by about Rs 498 in the current year. The price in Delhi has reached Rs 2078.50.

There is no change in the price of domestic cylinders.

There has been no change in domestic LPG prices. A 14.2-kilogram cooking gas cylinder in the capital still costs ₹913. The last increase was ₹60 on March 7. This change will directly impact hotels, restaurants, and other businesses that rely on commercial gas. 

The ongoing crisis in West Asia has led to a rise in gas and fuel prices worldwide. 

Crude oil prices have risen to $116 per barrel due to Iran's blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, a key trade route that carries 20% of the world's oil and gas supplies.

Global oil prices have surged sharply in recent weeks, rising by nearly 50%, largely due to the ongoing conflict in West Asia, which has disrupted supply chains.
